Director Lars von Trier starts the shoot of his much-discussed film Nymphomaniac on Tuesday. The shooting will last eleven weeks and will partly take place in Belgium. The shooting in Belgium will last about nine days. The release is expected in 2013 according to Location Flanders, which promotes Flemish cities as film locations. The rest of the film shooting takes place in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Nymphomaniac is an international co-production, including with Caviar.
