Apple wants to turn Apple TV into a set-top box that will eliminate the difference between live television and on-demand offerings. Apple wants TV programs to be automatically saved on the internet so that people can always decide for themselves when they want to watch something. This could be a few minutes after the start of a program, but also a day later.
