Italian Carlo Rambaldi, a famous creator of special effects in films, died on Friday at the age of 86. Rambaldi created, among other things, the alien creature ET and giant gorilla King Kong. He won three Oscars for his effects. Rambaldi also worked on films such as Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Alien and Dune.
