Alfred Hitchcock's film Vertigo was voted the best film of all time for the first time during an election by the British Film Institute (BFI). The 1958 film thus dethroned Orson Welles' 1941 classic Citizen Kane. The BFI election takes place every ten years. This is reported by The Independent.
