The Golden Rose, the most prestigious European festival for television entertainment programs, will move to Brussels in May next year. The first edition of the Golden Rose (Rose d'Or) took place in 1961 in Montreux. It remained that way until 2004, when the festival moved to Lucerne. In more than fifty years, only De Mol (Woestijnvis) and Benidorm Bastards (Shelter) managed to win a Golden Rose as a Belgian program.
