Warner Bros is working on a prequel to Stanley Kubrick's horror film The Shining. The film must take place before Jack Torrance, played by Jack Nicholson in The Shining, moves into the abandoned hotel with his wife and their paranormal son. The film studio has asked screenwriter and producer Laeta Kalogridis, known for the macabre thriller Shutter Island, to breathe new life into The Shining.
