The films Passion by Brian De Palma and To the Wonder by Terrence Malick are among the 18 films competing for the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival. Event director Alberto Barbera announced this on Thursday. The 69th edition of the festival in the northern Italian city starts on August 29 and lasts until September 8.
