During its first year of operation, the VAF/Media Fund provided support to 27 projects in animation, fiction and documentary. These extras were announced during the presentation of the Annual Report of this Fund, which aims to stimulate high-quality TV fiction, animation and documentaries in Flanders. At the beginning of 2011, the Media Fund was initiated within the structure of the VAF, in addition to the Film Fund. This initiative by Flemish Minister of Media Ingrid Lieten wants to stimulate the creation of high-quality TV fiction, TV animation and TV documentaries in series form.
