The Ghent Film Festival kicks off on October 9 with The Broken Circle Breakdown, the fourth feature film by Felix Van Groeningen. Artistic director Patrick Duynslaegher had been eyeing Van Groeningen's successor for The Sadness of Things for some time. Van Groeningen is mixing the film in Amsterdam. 'That goes quite smoothly, the stress of editing is already behind me and I have time to finish it nicely. The baby is growing up, I am already distancing myself from it a bit.
