Marieke van der Pol will write the screenplay for the film about the life of the Zaanse banker Walraven (Wally) van Hall. Producer NL Film announced this on Tuesday. The film Banker of the Resistance is about the underground bank he founded during the Second World War. Van der Pol previously wrote screenplays for films such as De Tweeling, Bride Flight and Alles Stroomt. She's excited to write the screenplay.
