The power struggle does not seem to have been over yet, but the film script is already in the making. Next summer, director Laurent Herbiet will start working on a film based on the 'Vatileaks', revelations about the current administrative crisis in the Vatican. The French filmmaker is inspired by the book by the Italian journalist Gianluigi Nuzzi, 'His Holiness: The Secret Documents of Benedict XVI'. That work describes, with a number of documents leaked to newspapers, how Benedict encounters internal resistance from high Italian clerics.
