Erik Van Looy no longer has to remain silent: 'The loft' is distributed by one of the major American film giants, Universal or Warner Bros. 'I just hope that the American premiere doesn't fall during the shoot of The Smartest Person, because then I won't be able to leave.' The worldwide rights have been purchased by Dark Castle Entertainment, Joel Silver's company. The man responsible for blockbusters such as The Matrix, Lethal Weapon and Sherlock Holmes will now be on the bill of The Loft as 'executive producer'.
