The special life of Rocky de Vlaeminck, the short film by Kevin Meul, has won the Grand Prize of the Jury at the Seattle International Film Festival (May 17 - June 10). Thanks to its award in Seattle, the film is now also eligible for the longlist of the Academy Award® for Short Film. The three-person jury in Seattle praised The Exceptional Life of Rocky de Vlaeminck as a 'discovery full of black humor in the life of a boy who is cursed. This incredible romance couples a perfect period setting with a wonderfully morbid Scandinavian sensibility.” With the award, Kevin Meul can also count on a cash prize of $ 1000 (approximately € 811).
