The Chinese entertainment group Wanda becomes the world's largest operator of cinema complexes after the takeover of the American AMC Entertainment. The Chinese are putting 2.6 billion dollars (2 billion euros) on the table for the takeover. The $2.6 billion acquisition is also the largest acquisition of a Chinese company in the United States. Chinese companies have often found it difficult to acquire American companies, but because cinemas are not sensitive infrastructure, analysts do not expect any opposition here.
