The 8th edition of DOCVILLE, the international documentary film festival, concluded on Saturday with the presentation of the DOCVILLE prizes. 9 professionals from the documentary sector examined the DOCVILLE selection and awarded 3 prizes: the Canvas Jury Prize for Best International Documentary went to the Italian film Il Castello. This highly visual film was previously awarded the Award for Best Cinematography at the IDA International Awards (USA). The Knowledge & Conscience Prize for Best Documentary went to the controversial Danish documentary The Ambassador (Mads Brügger). The SCAM Prize for Best Belgian Documentary goes to Bram Van Paesschen for his film Empire of Dust.
