All Kinepolis cinemas in Belgium will now have screenings at 9 p.m. "We want to respond to the lifestyle of our visitors, so that people can experience an evening of cinema in a relaxed way," says Didier Lombaert, responsible for programming at Kinepolis Belgium.
Tests carried out by the cinema chain last year in Brussels, Antwerp and Liège showed that there was a film audience for whom the 10.30 pm showings were too late, especially from Monday to Thursday. Other cultural centers are also experimenting with alternative hours.
