Titanic, The Notebook, Bambi... these are just three examples of films that easily make us cry. That's not a bad thing. On the contrary, heartbreaking films make us intensely happy for a while. This is evident from a study by Ohio State University. Scientists showed a shortened version of the drama film 'Atonement' to 350 students. Beforehand, the subjects each had to answer a few questions to determine their happiness level. During certain film scenes they were asked about their emotions and their intensity.
