Flemish director Bavo Defurne has won the prize for Best Directorial Debut at the fifth edition of the Cape Winelands Film Festival in Cape Town with his feature debut "Noordzee, Texas".
"Noordzee, Texas" is an adaptation of the book "Never this will pass" by André Sollie and is about Pim who grew up in a coastal village in the late 1960s. Defurne's feature debut scored well abroad.
