The awards ceremonies of the Video Game Awards, a subsidiary of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTAs), took place yesterday. The most important award, for best game, went to Portal 2. The game also won the awards for best story and best design. Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim suffered an extra major setback: the game was nominated for six different categories and won none. Battlefield 3, like Portal 2, also won three awards. This includes the only audience award at the BAFTAs, the Game Award of 201, but also the prizes for best sound and best online multiplayer.
