The turnover of the Belgian copyright organization Sabam amounted to 139 million euros in 2011. That is a lot less than the 193 million euros of a year earlier. But that picture is distorted by the termination of a major contract with Universal. "We managed that contract for six years, but we deliberately stopped it last year," says Depreter. 'The commission we collected was no longer enough to cover our costs.'
