Last year, 15 million films and series were sold on DVD and Blu-ray in Belgium, generating a turnover of 187.93 million euros. According to BEA Video, the association that represents video producers and distributors, sales fell by 8 percent compared to 2010. Blu-ray's share increased by half, but still only represents 12 percent. The online film offering increased in importance. Belgians spent 45.8 million euros on watching films and TV series via Video on Demand, an increase of 30 percent but still four times less than DVD and Blu-ray.
