Flemish actor Matthias Schoenaerts has given his word of yes to director Pieter Van Hees, who gives him the leading role in his third film 'Wasteland'. Van Hees previously made 'Linkeroever' and 'Dirty Mind'. Schoenaerts previously played the male lead in Van Hees' debut film 'Linkeroever'. Just like that debut film, 'Wasteland' is a dark psychological thriller, but unlike 'Lefteroever' it is not set in Antwerp, but in Brussels. In addition to Schoenaerts, Bouli Lanners, Natali Broodts and Josse De Pauw are also said to have agreed to play a role.
