The Golden Globe that the French film The Artist won for best soundtrack has an important Belgian share. The music was recorded in Brussels. 'The Artist' is the story about the swan song of silent films in the 1930s. The film received three Globes. "Composer Ludovic Bourse sought out the Brussels Philharmonic for the performance and that company in turn referred us for a number of songs," says Frank Vaganée, artistic director of the Brussels Jazz Orchestra.
