In a week we will know the nominees for the Oscar for best foreign film. Michaël R. Roskam has to clear the hurdle from the shortlist the day after tomorrow. Does he jump high enough with 'Bullhead'? Roskam is not the only Flemish on the bill in Palm Springs. Bavo Defurne (North Sea, Texas), Geoffrey Enthoven (Hasta la vista), Nicolas Provost (The invader) and Christophe Van Rompaey (Lena) also presented their work there. But it is certainly a great stunt that Roskam was the only bit part unknown to be on the red carpet among so much glamor and glitter. Thanks to a strong PR lady, who has been trying to increase his chances of an Oscar nomination for best foreign film for several months.
