The public broadcaster is proposing a new English-language offering on TV, aimed at foreigners. This will happen on the new third channel, possibly at the end of this year. This is evident from the speech by Luc Van den Brande, chairman of the VRT. "After 8 p.m. there will be room on the third channel to serve other specific groups. Young people, and also foreigners living in Flanders," says Van den Brande. The international role of the VRT is included in the broadcaster's management agreement.
