Groenten uit Balen, the third feature film by director Frank Van Mechelen, is off to a successful start in Flemish cinemas. After the opening weekend, more than 30,000 cinema visitors are expected. The audience finds its way to the film based on the play of the same name by Walter Van den Broeck. It is no surprise that the Kempen storyline scores mainly in the Kempen, Antwerp and Limburg.
