The Cinema Arenberg in the Queen's Gallery in Brussels will permanently close its doors tonight. 39,000 people had signed the petition to prevent this, but that turned out to be insufficient. The signatories of the petition believed that the cinema, which had existed for almost 30 years, provided cultural added value to Brussels and programs alternative films that do not get a chance elsewhere.
