Belgian underwater filmmaker Danny Van Belle won the golden palm and the 'Prix du Président de la République' at the World Festival of Underwater Images in Marseille last weekend with the film 'The Law of Hunger'. This is reported on the festival's website. Van Belle also won the golden palm in 2004, 2007 and 2008. "The Law of Hunger" takes a look at the eating habits of many sea inhabitants, he said earlier in a statement. Other Belgian prints also won prizes at the 38th edition of the festival. 'Sexe en haute mer' by Etienne Verhaegen won the prize in the "unusual" category. The silver palm for the short films went to Philippe Laforge for 'L'ultime voyage de la lamproie marine'. He also received the prize for best short animal documentary.
