There must be an action plan to save the Flemish book sector. That's what 4 Flemish parliamentarians say. To achieve this, they introduced a resolution following the 75th Book Fair in Antwerp. According to the four, Flemish authors do not earn enough with their books and therefore have to maintain other activities, which inhibits their creativity. Bookstores, for their part, are finding it increasingly difficult to make ends meet, partly due to price competition and the growth of foreign internet providers.
