An Iranian appeals court has revoked the prison and corporal punishment for Marzieh Vafamehr. Amnesty International reported this on Saturday. The actress is said to have been released in the meantime. A lower court had sentenced Marzieh Vafamehr to one year in prison and 90 lashes for starring in 'My Tehran for Sale', a 2009 film that criticized Islam and the policies of Iranian President Ahmedinnejad. The film has now been banned in Iran.
