A record number of nine documentaries and three documentary projects from Flanders are on the bill this year at IDFA, the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (16 - 27 November). At the most important documentary festival in Europe, Jeremy De Ryckere of the RITS wins the IDFA Competition for Student Documentary with his graduation project De successor (The Heir). Flemish people are also strongly represented in the Reflecting Images: Panorama and Paradocs programs and the IDFA Pitching Forum.
