Just before the start of the 38th Ghent Film Festival, the "Joseph Plateau Award Belgian Talent" was awarded for the first time on Tuesday evening to actress Chris Lomme and the brothers Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne. The three received the Award from Flemish Minister of Culture Joke Schauvliege. Ghent puts its own talent in the spotlight by presenting the Joseph Plateau Award Belgian Talent to film personalities who helped promote the national and international image of Belgian cinema. To highlight the richness and diversity of Belgian cinema, a prize for French-speaking and Flemish talent is awarded.
