The second edition of the Antwerp film festival '7 days of social film' by Filmhuis Klappei and other associations in the city runs from today until Friday, October 14. The social films about Africa, homosexuality, women and revolution are played in Filmhuis Klappei, Permeke Library, the Free-thinking Karel Cuypershuis, the Intercultural Women's Center and in a container on De Coninkcplein. 'We aim at young people and people who are socially inclined.' Today, actress Marilou Mermans (Thuis, Lili & Marleen, Pauline & Paulette) receives the 2011 Prize for Merit for her career in social films such as 'Girls'.
