Due to the enormous support that the organizers of the Flemish Film Awards received from the sector, the non-profit organization Les Films du Bord de Mer has now decided to further expand the number of awards. Prizes will be awarded in the editing and art direction categories. In addition, the Flemish audiovisual sector will be able to present its Industry Award for Best Film. On September 10, 2011, the Flemish Film Awards were awarded for the second time. The awards ceremony was the highlight of the Ostend Film Festival and grew into a celebration of Flemish Film.
