Director Stijn Coninx has found an actor for his film about the life of Rocco Granata. The young actor Matteo Simoni will be responsible for the young years of the 'Marina' singer. The province of Limburg, among others, is providing financing for the film about the Flemish-Italian singer. The province wants to introduce even more people to (the past of) the Limburg mining region. If financing is secured, the shoot could start as early as the spring of 2012.
