Last weekend, the 37th Festival du Cinéma Américain ended with an atmospheric closing ceremony. Jury chairman Olivier Assayas and his colleagues awarded the Prix de la Revélation Cartier to Detachment. This tough school drama by Tony Kaye also received the International Film Press Award. The Dynamiters won the Prix du Jury. And the Grand Prix went to Take Shelter, an oppressive psychological portrait by Jeff Nichols.
