The door for the long-awaited FC De Kampioenen film is once again ajar. Both Ben Rottiers and Marijn Devalck confirm that all actors from the popular TV series support a new scenario. One of the people writing the new screenplay is director Johan Gevers. The first attempt to get a Champions film on track was made 17 years ago and several scenarios have been on the table since then. The last scenario, which was written by film producer Dirk Impens, was rejected two years ago.
