In 1968, this film aroused great admiration because of its exceptionally realistic future environments, down to the smallest detail. For example, Samsung selected a scene from the film in which the astronauts on board the spaceship Discovery use a 'personal computer device' during their meal that closely resembles a modern tablet computer in general and the iPad in particular.
