Edie Wasserman, the widow of former Universal Studios boss Lew Wasserman, has died. According to Friday's Los Angeles Times, Wasserman died on Thursday (local time) in Beverly Hills at the age of 95. Together with her husband Lew, who died in 2002, Edie Wasserman was known as the tireless benefactor of the film world. The operation of the "Motion Picture and Television Fund" foundation was partly made possible by the Wassermans.
