Filmmaker Tareque Masud (54) died in a traffic accident in Bangladesh. Masud and four others, including the director of private news channel ATN, were killed instantly when their minibus crashed head-on into a bus. Tareque Masud is best known for the 2002 film "Matir moina" (The clay bird). The film was the first to send Bangladesh to the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. The film won the film critics' prize in Cannes.
