Researcher E. Jamieson studied films between 1950 and 2006. The 855 blockbusters show that the number of suicides in the prints has tripled. Jamieson hoped to make a connection with actual teen suicides. That number has also tripled since 1960, but it is not clear whether this is due to the films.
