British actress Googie Withers has died in Sydney, Australia. She was 94 years old. Withers became known for her role in the Hitchcock film "The Lady Vanishes". She also appeared in the film "Shine" (1996), for which Geoffrey Rush won an Oscar. The actress was the first non-Australian to receive an Officer of the Order of Australia award.
