Gert Embrechts is known as the director of the Children of Dewindt series and for his award-winning short films 13 and Vincent. He won prizes in Belgium, France, Portugal, New York and Los Angeles. Gert Embrechts also wrote the screenplay for the feature film Comes a Woman to the Doctor. With the script by Allez, Eddy! he was selected for the film festivals of Rotterdam, Utrecht and Berlin. The leading roles are played by Peter Van den Begin, Barbara Sarafian, and newcomer Jelte Blommaert.
