Paul Vandenbussche, the first administrator general of the then BRT, has died at the age of 90. The VRT reported this on Sunday. Vandenbussche was at the head of the public broadcaster for more than a quarter of a century.
In 1960, Vandenbussche helped write the broadcasting law that transformed the National Institute for Radio Broadcasting (NIR) into BRT. He was immediately appointed Administrator General and served until his retirement in 1986.
