Pedro Almodovar has reconciled with the Spanish Film Academy, which awards the Goyas every year, the most important Spanish film awards. In 2005, he resigned from the Academy after his film "La mala educacion" failed to receive a single Goya, while Alejandro Amenabar's "Mar adentro" won no fewer than 14 awards.
