In Felix van Groeningen's new film, The Broken Circle Breakdown, Veerle Baetens and Johan Heldenbergh play the leading roles as country singers trying to come to terms with the death of their daughter Maybelle. For the role of Maybelle, the director of The Sadness of Things is looking for a baby, a toddler, a preschooler and a six-year-old girl.
