The 55th edition of the International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFR) opens on January 29th with the Portuguese film "Providence and the Guitar" by João Nicolau and concludes on February 8th with "Bazaar (Murder in the Building)" by Rémi Bezançon. The festival presents 211 world premieres, 47 international premieres, and 23 European premieres, spread across 428 films. The Tiger Competition features twelve world premieres by emerging filmmakers. The Big Screen and Tiger Short Competitions showcase the same number of titles and 22 short films, respectively.
