Frans Weisz passed away on Sunday at the age of 87. Producer Matthijs van Heijningen, who produced his last film and was a close friend of his, confirmed this to ANP after a report by NRC. The film director, known for films such as The Burglar and The Gangster Girl, suffered from Alzheimer's disease.
