The Roots Film Festival, held on December 12 and 13, 2025, at Filmhuis Den Haag, offers a platform for young film talent. The festival kicks off with an Industry Day featuring masterclasses for regional filmmakers. Opening night will feature three short films by local filmmakers: "Mr. Sun & Miss Universe" by Souffiën Melad, "Katibo Lobi" by Julio Accord, and "Hausfrau" by Alanis Neva Bani. Visitors can vote for the Audience Award, and there is also a Jury Award. The festival comprises fourteen screenings featuring over forty films.
