The British actors' union, Equity, is considering a strike over insufficient protections against the use of artificial intelligence (AI). The union has announced a vote among its members, running until December 18th, asking them whether they are willing to refuse to participate in digital scans to enforce adequate AI protections. This follows concerns about the use of their likenesses without clear agreements. Equity and the producers' union, Pact, are still negotiating an agreement similar to that of SAG-AFTRA in the US.
